 TripIt can help you organize your travel even if you aren't flying or staying in a hotel. Here's how:

1. From the Trips tab, click on "Add a trip."

2. Fill in the high-level details of your trip.

3. Click on "Add plans."

4. Add lodging if you plan on staying overnight (even if you're just staying at a friend or family member's house).

5. Add driving directions by clicking on "Add plans" again and selecting "Directions."

6. That's it! Now you have a road trip complete with driving directions. You can add it to your calendar, add plans such as
restaurant reservations, view the details from your mobile device, etc.

Note:
For security purposes (many users sign in to their site on company, internet cafe, etc. computers) our site does sign out after approximately 20 minutes. To avoid this you just need to make incremental saves as you go along. Every time you 'save'  the 'time out clock' starts again.
