Each calendar application is different. They can take anywhere anywhere from a few minutes to several hours to update calendar feeds. To force a "hard refresh" just follow these steps:
1. Remove your feed from your calendar.
2. Go to the Publishing your TripIt data page and "refresh" your calendar feed URL.

3. Then re-subscribe to the new TripIt iCal feed URL.
4. Wait 15 minutes, and you calendar should be updated.
