A layover is the time between two connecting flights. TripIt uses the airline industry standard time to display the layover time for your flights as long as the following are met; layover is less than four hours for domestic flights and less than 24 hours for international flights (from one country to another). Anything longer is considered a stopover.
Users will need to update their TripIt apps to Android 7.0 and iOS 10.0 to see international layovers.
- Currently, there is not an option to manually add or edit the layover field.
- Currently on the Web, a layover will only display for flights with the same confirmation number.
