New web experience: Add and edit a trip

We've made it even easier to edit a plan in the TripIt website


Just click the 'Actions' button to edit, move, copy or delete a plan. If you select 'View Plan Details', you can attach a document, add a note and more.



Adding a new trip:

  1. Click 'Add a Trip' and enter your high-level trip details such as destination and travel dates. 
  2. Click 'Save'.
  3. Then click 'Add a Plan'.
  4. Select the type of plan you want to add and we'll walk you through the rest.


Edit a trip plan:

  1. Click the 'Actions' button next to the plan you wish to edit.
  2. Select 'Edit Plan'
  3. Make your changes, then click 'Save'.

Delete a plan:

  1. Click the 'Actions' button next the plan you wish to delete.
  2. Select 'Delete Plan'.


Add additional details such as a traveler name, total cost, or note:

  1. Click the 'Actions' button next to the plan you wish to edit.
  2. Select 'View Plan Details'.
  3. Make your selection (Booking Info, etc.) under 'More Details'.
  4. Enter your details then 'Save'.


Move a plan:

  1. Click the 'Actions' button.
  2. Select 'Move Plan'.


Copy a plan:

  1. Click the 'Actions' button.
  2. Select 'Copy Plan'.


Add a document:

  1. Click the 'Actions' button.
  2. Select 'View Plan Details'.
  3. Click the plus (+) button.
  4. Attach your document, then click 'Upload'.


Click 'Edit Trip Info' from the Trips page to:

  • Update high-level trip details such as trip name and travel dates.
  • Add or update your trip photo.
  • Choose whether or not you're a traveler on a trip.


Click 'More Options' under the trip name from the Trips page to: 

  • Print a trip.
  • Merge trips.
  • Delete trip.
  • Export trip to calendar.
