TripIt Pro and Apple Intelligence

TripIt offers TripIt Pro subscribers 2 easy ways to create a plan with Apple Intelligence:

• Add with a PDF or photo -  Upload a screenshot, photo or PDF to create a new plan
• Add from an Unfiled Item - Create a new plan from any Unfiled Item

Adding with a PDF or photo

Don't have a booking confirmation email? You can still add your plans by uploading a screenshot, photo, or PDF.

How it works:

1. Open the TripIt iOS app.
2. Select your trip and tap "+" to add a plan.
3. Choose the plan type.
4. Select "Import from Photo" or "Import from PDF".
5. Review the information, edit if necessary.
6. Tap "Save".

Or you can share directly from the image or pdf by choosing the TripIt app.

Adding from an Unfiled Item

In some cases, forwarding a booking confirmation email to plans@tripit.com creates an Unfiled Item. This may occur with boutique hotels and restaurants, smaller regional travel suppliers, or other similar vendors not yet supported by TripIt. Now you can utilize Apple Intelligence in the TripIt app to add these travel plans.

How it works:

1. Open the TripIt iOS app.
2. Tap Unfiled Items (bottom of screen).
3. Select the unfiled item. 
4. Tap "Populate with Apple Intelligence". 
5. Select the plan type (lodging, restaurant, etc.). 
6. Review the information, edit if necessary.
7. Tap "Save".
8. Select an upcoming trip or create a new trip to add the plan to.

Please note: Supported plan types include lodging, car, rail, ferry, ground transportation, restaurant, activity, concert, meeting, theater, tour. More plan types will be supported in the future.

Apple Intelligence requirements for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro

• Phone 17 models, iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max; any iPad with A17 Pro or M1 and later; Mac with M1 or later; Apple Vision Pro
• iOS 26 or later, iPadOS 26 or later, macOS Tahoe (version 26 or later), and visionOS 26 or later.
• Device language and Siri language set to the same supported language
• 7 GB of storage

Please note: Foundation Models also support a limited set of languages and regions. If your device is set to an unsupported language/locale, the model will not be available and the TripIt setting will be disabled.

• TripIt iOS 20.0.0 or later
• TripIt Pro subscription

Unsure you want to use Apple Intelligence with TripIt? 

We have you covered there too. TripIt offers a setting that allows you to continue using Apple Intelligence on your device, just not with TripIt. 

 Here's how 

1. In the TripIt app, go to Account > Settings.
2. Under Artificial Intelligence, select "Apple Intelligence". 
3. Toggle the setting off.
