Export an individual trip to your calendar

Modified on Fri, Jan 26 at 12:37 AM

You can export an individual trip to your calendar.

Exporting a trip to your calendar is most valuable when you want to add a trip to your main calendar, add a shared trip (not a traveler), or are adding trips over 90 days old.

At this time, exporting a calendar file is only available on our website. You may have noticed we've redesigned our web experience. You may still have the option to access your account from our legacy site so we've included instructions for both.

From our new web experience:

  1. From the Trips page, select one of the trips you want merged into another trip.
  2. Click 'More Options'.
  3. Select 'Export trip to calendar' from the dropdown menu.
  4. Download the calendar file and 'Save'.
  5. Open your calendar and go to 'File' > 'Import'.
  6. Import your saved .ics file.

From our legacy site:

  1. Select your trip from the Trips page.
  2. Click the Gear icon and click Export to Calendar.
  3. Select Download calendar file.
  4. Download the calendar file and 'Save'.
  5. Open your calendar and go to 'File' > 'Import'.
  6. Import your saved .ics file.

Please note that this method of getting your trips to your calendar must be done on a per trip basis.  It is also a one time export only so changes to your TripIt itineraries will not be reflected in TripIt events on your calendar.
